"Deep" is a song by Pearl Jam and is the 10th track of their debut album Ten. The music was written by Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament and the lyrics by Eddie Vedder. It is by far the most aggressive song on the album and features the use of bass chords by Jeff Ament at the explosive beginning along with the guitar. Lyrically the song is very dark and features the theme of suicide, one of the many if not common dark themes in the album.
