Polihali Dam

The Polihali Dam is a dam under construction in Lesotho.[1] Dam construction started in 2022. The dam is part of the Phase II of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project.

A 38 kilometre[2] Polihali Transfer Tunnel will be used to transfer water from the Polihali resevoir through the interconnecting Mohale Tunnel to the Katse Dam.[3]

  • Height - 165 m (541 ft)
  • Crest length - 915 m (3,002 ft)[3]
  • Elevation - 1,940 m (6,360 ft) above sea level
