Name-giving

[edit]

I guess that the brainstorming session had a topic to find a name for "Ionity North America" without violiting the exsting brand name for Ionity. Ofcourse, there is no evidence for that. It is obvious however that both Ionna and Ionity are driven by the global charging network strategies of Mercedes. Guidod (talk) 17:11, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

EV Connect

[edit]

Seth Cutler has been COO at "EV Connect" which have a number of partnerships with makers of charging stations.

  • see https://www.evconnect.com/ev-charging-stations - including ABB and Tritium and a few others.
  • for HPC they used the "Freewire" charger and charging stations purchased from "Tritium"
  • charging stations came also from "Schneider Electric" who eventually bought "EV Connect" in June 2022 [1]

In August 2022 Tritium opened their US factory in Tenessee - in cooperation EV Connect, Seth Cutler being at the inauguration

Well, let's see who will provide new charging stations to Ionna. You can not just use the Ionity ones as they need to be adapted and certified for the US. Guidod (talk) 07:37, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
