Connecticut, U.S. has one of the highest proportions of Albanian Americans, American people of Albanian descent, an ethnic group originating from Southeast Europe. There are about 12,000 as or more Albanians in Connecticut, with this figure largely including some people having ancestry from Kosovo, a majority ethnically-Albanian nation.

Connecticut is 0.4% ethnically Albanian, compared to being a scant 0.1% of the general US population.

The community of Waterbury has the highest proportion of Albanians (3%).[1] There are also communities in East and West Hartford, and the Stamford area.

Many Connecticut Albanians may have roots from the Albanian community in NYC, 50-100 miles away, seeking a more suburban lifestyle.
