The Real Ghostbusters & the 1987 version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles share some things on common. From the firehouse to a living room in the sewer, here are a few things You'll find in both series:

• Both hero teams live in New York City
• Both series were animated by DIC studios.
• Both series feature a gadget called a "transdimensional portal" engineered by Egon & Donatello, respectively.

  In Ghostbusters it features in Copycat and in Ninja Turtles.

• Both series have an episode titled Beneath These Streets.
• Both series have a character named Casey Jones. Although CJ appears as a ghost train conductor in one episode, CJ with the hockey mask appears more commonplace in Ninja Turtles and even in the 1990 live action movie.
