Bukelism is a political philosophy, which some would even call an ideology. The philosophy is centered around Bukele's ideas and beliefs. Many western news outlets would criticize it, going as far as saying his presidency is corrupt. His crackdown on gang violence caused many uncivil arrests, which is where the majority of the criticism comes from.
