On May 27th Egypt and Israel had a Skirmish resulting in the death of an Egyptian soldier. The Skirmish happened the day after a major Israeli airstrike killing over 40 and injuring over 200 people. Both sides blamed each other for starting the Skirmish. It also came during a time were Egypt-Israel relations have been strained because of the Israeli offensive in Rafah
