The Korfbal League 2 is the second highest echelon of indoor korfball in the Netherlands for indoor korfball.
The winner of the Korfbal League 2 gets automatic promotion to Korfbal League while the number 2 plays in a play-off round for promotion/relegation against the team placed on the 9th position in the Korfbal League division. The last two teams after the regular season relegate automatically to Hoofdklasse.
History
[edit]The Royal Dutch Korfball Association started the Korfbal League 2 in 2022 in order to increase the competitivity level for indoor korfball in The Netherlands. This was done by introducing Korfball League 2 as a league in between Korfbal League and the Hoofdklasse league.[1][2]
