Wathnan Racing is the Emir of Qatar's horse racing operation^[1] with a presence in Qatar and Newmarket, England.^[2] It achieved unprecedented success in the 2023 Royal Ascot^[3] – an owner who'd never before had so much as even one runner in Britain, had won two major Royal Ascot races: the Queen's Vase and the Gold Cup.^[4]

Wathnan Racing, Champion owners in Qatar^[5] at the very first attempt in the 2022-23 season, with an extraordinary 55 winners, repeated the success in the 2023-24 season with 51 triumphs. The 2023-24 Qatar racing season also brought for Wathnan the top Arab award – Abbes – and the highest-rated thoroughbred – Simca Mille. Champion trainer was Wathnan Racing's eminence grise Alban de Mieulle.

James Doyle joined Wathnan Racing as stable jockey for the 2024 season.^[6]
