Laurent Lettrée

Laurent Lettrée is a French artist born in 1977, based in Shanghai, China, since 2009. He works collaboratively with Nathalie Delpech under the joint artist name *LLND since 2003. Together, they have created numerous interactive art installations and audio-visual shows. Their works have been commissioned by brands such as Audi, Chopard, Audemars Piguet and exhibited at prestigious venues such as the Museum of Art and Art Labor (MAM), HOW Art Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Shanghai. They have also showcased at the Triennial of Sculpture in Poznan, Anne Lettrée Gallery, BANK Gallery, Art Labor Gallery, and many others.

Early Life and Education

Laurent Lettrée developed an interest in sound from a young age, often carrying a Walkman tape recorder to capture various sounds. His mother, Anne Lettrée, is a renowned art gallery owner, which provided him with an early exposure to the art world.Bid to Art[2]

Lettrée studied in the USA, where he presented his first interactive works in 2001 at the Miami Art Fair. This early exposure to the international art scene helped shape his innovative approach to art and technology.

Career

Laurent Lettrée moved to Shanghai in 2009, where he continued his collaboration with Nathalie Delpech as well as started the community ReCharge. Operating under the joint artist name *LLND, the duo has developed a unique artistic approach that blends technology and art.
