Stupidity. Pure stupidity.[edit]

I just logged onto this account for the first time in around 2 years, and I have to say: I was fucking stupid back then. What was I even thinking doing that stuff? WhyDoIHaveThisName (talk) 12:27, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I admit that what I did was wrong. I was 12 when I did this, so obviously that's another issue alongside what got me blocked. I was blocked for various disruptive edits, with the main one being swapping Special:Login and Special:Logout on pages.[1] I know better than to do that now that I'm a sophomore, so I wouldn't do that again. All I really plan to do after getting unblocked is making ACTUAL edits when needed.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you:
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Vanjagenije (talk) 11:50, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I am fairly certain that I did say I plan to make useful contributions after I get unblocked. Anyways, very well then. I will be making another one very soon. WhyDoIHaveThisName (talk) 10:36 PM, 7 July 2024 (EST)

That's a very quick way to end any chance of an unblock. You are blocked, not just your account. Once any new account is created and discovered, that account will be blocked, this account will be labeled a sockpuppet, and your chances of ever being unblocked go down considerably. Did you really think I'm talking about a new account? I'm talking about a new appeal. Not an new account. I know better than to bypass a ban to cause more havoc, which is why I don't plan on causing more havoc in the first place.. Like I said in the beginning, I'm planning on making meaningful edits now that I actually know better than to do what I did 3 years ago. (I counted the years wrong in the original comment I made before my block.) Anyways, I'm making that new appeal in about a week or so. To whoever responds to this, have a nice day! Thanks for clarifying, that's very good to know! Sometimes people will do that, thinking the account is banned, not the person, and I didn't want to see you get in trouble! CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 00:34, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
