Mariam Paré is an artist and disability advocate.

Early Life

Miriam was born in Morocco. [1]

Miriam studied art[2].

When Miriam was 20 years old, she was struck by a bullet when she was in her friend's car.[3]

Artistry

While in rehabilitation, a physical therapist taught her to use a pen to write her name; she understood that she could use this technique for painting.[4] Shortly after learning this way to paint, Miriam connected to the Mouth & Foot Painting Artists.
