Shafi U Ahmed

High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia. A career diplomat of the 1979 batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (Foreign Affairs) cadre, Ahmed majored in economics from the University of Dhaka,Bangladesh and later did his MA in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School, Tufts University,Boston,USA.

As a foreign service officer, Ahmed served in different Bangladesh Missions abroad as well as in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh in various capacities including as the Director General for Administration.
