Domain Change

[edit]

Structurae has been reduced to a single TLD (structurae.net). Even though the site has been using semantic URLs for years now, all entries can still be reached using the ID number. For the English version of Structurae, the links for structure entries can be built using the IDs as follows:

https://structurae.net/en/structures/[ID]

where [ID] is an eight-digit number. For the old alphanumeric IDs the conversion is p=1 and s=2. --Structurae (talk) 09:45, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Error

[edit]

The id is not always an "s" followed by digits. That holds for structures, but not for other classes of information at the site. For instance, see Paul Gout, Cahors, A 20 Motorway (France), and probably others. - Denimadept (talk) 15:26, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Right; as the documentation says (below the parameter description), the {{Structurae}} template is for structures only; you can use {{Structurae person}} for people. This is analogous to, e.g., {{imdb title}} and {{imdb name}}. So far, there hasn't been a demonstrated need for templates to link to other kinds of Structurae entries; you can just use the general external-link syntax for those. The "s" breaks some links and there are links with 8 digits. SLBedit (talk) 14:33, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
