Indodelphis is an extinct genus of opossum like marsupial from Eocene of Cambay Shale Formation of India.

Description

Indodelphis is the only known Marsupial known from Insular India. It is known from a well-preserved lower molars of two individuals. These species probably represent the oldest known record of Cenozoic marsupials from Asia, and they occur in association with a diverse land mammal fauna comprising perissodactyls, artiodactyls, insectivores, proteutherians, apatotherians, bats, rodents, and several other taxa currently under study.
