The Lumby Fighting Saints are a Junior ice hockey team based out of Lumby, British Columbia. They play out of the WHA Junior West Hockey League.

History

The Lumby Fighting Saints hold the distinction of winning the first ever game in the WHA Junior West Hockey League's history. On September 21, 2006, the Saints defeated the Armstrong Sharks in Armstrong, British Columbia by a score of 6-4. This marks both the first game and win for the franchise as well as for the new league itself.

The teams logo is taken from the defunct World Hockey Association's Minnesota Fighting Saints from the 1970s.

The Saints finished the season as the first ever regular season champions in WHA-West history. After 23 wins in 33 games, the Saints went into a playoff round robin with the Osoyoos Spurs and Armstrong Sharks. They swept all four games in the round robin. They are currently in the best-of-five league final against the New Westminster Whalers.
