Ed Lynskey is an American author and critic, mostly of crime fiction. He was born in Washington, D.C. where he still lives and works. His first two books are mysteries featuring his Private Investigator Frank Johnson: The Dirt-Brown Derby (2006) and The Blue Cheer (2007). A P.I. Frank Johnson short collection is Out of Town a Few Days. His work has been anthologized by St. Martin’s Press, University of Virginia Press, and Storyline Press. His essays have been reprinted by Gale Research and Gryphon Books. He has written for The Atlantic Monthly, New York Times, Washington Post, and San Francisco Chronicle.
