Peter Hanenberger is a German Born figure head for [General Motors]. He was most recognised Holden's chairman and managing director from 1999 to 2003.
Early Carrer
Peter spent most of his early carrer working for GM's [Opel] Division in Germany as a vehicle tester before becoming to be GM vice president and group executive of the Opel Technical Development Centre in Ruesselsheim, Germany.
Holden
In 1999 it was announced that Peter was to be the new Chairman and Managing director of Holden. At Holden, he brought European influences and natures that were welcomed by everyone there. He was also considered one of the founding fathers of the modern version of the [Holden Monaro]. In 2003 he announced that he would retire, after spending about 45 years with General Motors.
After GM
Hanenberger retired to his home town of Wiesbaden. As a farewell gift from Holden, they made him a once only special Holden Monaro. It is left hand drive (for Europe of course), with a special LS1 Pontiac GTO V8 engine, fitted with extra toys.
There is no word on where or what he is currently doing, it is assumed he is nestled in Wiesbaden, Germany.
