Ceremony was a rock band which appeared in 1993. Band Ceremony include Chastity Bono (vocals, acoustic guitar, percussion); Chance (vocals, guitar); Pete McRae (guitar); Steve Bauman (keyboards); Louie Ruiz (bass)& Bryn Mathieu (drums). Chastity Bono (Cher's daughter) released an album with her band Ceremony, but it was not successful and the band was dropped from its record label. Only song wich released on single was "Could've Been Love" with bonus tracks "First Day Of My Life" & "One World". The album, "Hang On To Your Poetry, has been described as "pleasant, accessible and strong", with songs like "2 of 1", "Breathless" and "Steal Your Heart" called "very soulful and impressive. As reported by Chance, there are no synthesizers or digital effects anywhere on the album. Chance says, "We turned our back on technology. Everything you hear was played by humans. It's reminiscent of the 60s, but more a tip of the hat than emulating it. We took the music we love and rejuvenated it, made it 90s."
