Tina Marsh is founder, director, vocalist and one of the chief composers of the Austin jazz based composers consortium Creative Opportunity Orchestra (CO2). Over its 27-year history, CO2 has produced numerous recordings and toured nationally, receiving international acclaim for their efforts. Marsh's interest in the voice as instrument is part of what gives this jazz composers forum its unique sound. In 2000 Marsh was inducted in the Texas Music Hall of Fame. Her latest CD 'Inside the Breaking' features classic songs with piano and cello and is available on CreOp Muse.

In addition to the CO2, Marsh has participated in collaborations with dance companies and choreographers, including Jose Bustamante, Sally Jacques, and Deborah Hay.

In 2000 Marsh created and produced the multi-cultural family holiday program, CIRCLE OF LIGHT, featuring performers with music, dance, story, and song highlighting traditions of Christmas around the Americas, Hannukah, the Hindu celebration of Diwali, Kwanzaa, and Ramadan. Tina has served as Artist-in-Education at Becker Elementary School, as well as heading other community outreach programming for CO2.She is a recipient of awards including a composition commissioning award in 2004 through the Chamber Music America New Works Program, a Meet the Composer/Reader's Digest Jazz Commission, and the New Forms Regional Initiatives Grant, among others. In addition to the CO2, Marsh often participates in collaborations with dance companies and choreographers such as Sally Jacques and Jose Luis Bustamante. In 2000 Marsh was inducted in the Texas Music Hall of Fame. Her latest CD 'Inside the Breaking' features classic songs with piano and cello and is available on CreOp Muse.

Marsh’s vocals incorporate elements of some of the pioneers of radical vocal artistry, but without giving up structure or swing. (This) is even more pronounced in this small group setting, where she clearly regales as a Jazz singer… When she sings a tried and true standard… it is with the innocence of someone singing it for the first time.” CADENCE Magazine
