Dominique Hourani (Arabic حوراني دومينيك) also known as “Farfoura”, is a Lebanese singer, designer and top-model. Born in Beirut, Lebanon on August 7, 1980 she started at a young age as a model. Daughter of Youssef Hourani a historian, renowned archaeologist and writer. She earned a master’s degree in Business Administration as well as being an international beauty pageant title holder. All started with her biggest success when she represented her country in the beauty pageant contest and won the "Miss Intercontinental" 2003 title in Berlin, Germany among 41 nations, for the first time after 33 years; when Georgina Rizk won the Miss Universe title back in 1971. Her sex appeal and attractive beauty played a big role in her fame. When she embarked on her career in music, she came under attack from members of the Arab community who found her image provocative. Dominique has several video clips; the first video clip was: “Farfoura", where she got her nickname. The song and the clip got a lot of success in her home country and the Middle-East. Since then she got several hits in the Arab hit-parade. Due to her talent in business she established her own brand of lingerie and clothes called "La Domine" in 2004.
