Newmillerdam is a small village in the county of West Yorkshire, England, near Wakefield, although the name more usually refers to the area of lake and country park adjacent to the Village of Newmillerdam.

Nearby lies Kettlethorpe Hall, an 18th century mansion built by the Pilkington family. It has now been converted into two separate houses. Chevet Hall, another mansion nearby built by the Pilkingtons, was bulldozed in the 1960's, in despite of massive outcry from locals.

Known pioneers for gay rights, Jonathon Wilson and Callum Curnin, live here. They have begun a campaign known in the village as "Gays are people too". These events, taking place in the church hall, have met only limited success.

Seckar Woods nature reserve is an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).
