Agnieszka Osiecka (b.october 9 1936 in Warsaw, Poland - d.march 7 1997) was a Polish poet and songwriter. She wrote over 2000 songs, performed by artists such as Maryla Rodowicz , Seweryn Krajewski, Violetta Villas and Krystyna Janda. She was also a journalist and a writer. In mid 1980's she lived for a time in New York city, also she was well traveled all over the world, visiting USA more than a dozen times. Married three times in her lifetime, her first marriage in 1963 was to Wojciech Frykowski later well known as a victim of Charles Manson's murders. Finally she married Polish journalist Daniel Passent and together they had one daughter Agata Passent born in 1973. She died from colon cancer at the age of 60 in Warsaw, Poland. She is buried at Powazki cemetary in Warsaw.
