Reuben Harrison Hunt (1862-1937) was a noted American architect who spent most of his life in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He came to that city in 1882 and within four years had established a successful architectural firm. Mr. Hunt designed many of Chattanooga's homes and public buidlings, some which survive today. Some of his still-extant works include Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium on McCallie Avenue (1922), the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse on Georgia Avenue (1934), and the Chattanooga City Hall (1908) [1]. Mr. Hunt was also known for his design of churches, which he designed at little or no cost.

R.H. Hunt died in 1937.
