The Kingsley School
Appearance
Situated just to the North of Leamington Spa town centre, Kingsley is an independent girls’ day school taking girls from 3 to 18; the Early Years Centre also takes boys up to the age of seven.
The senior school occupies an adapted and extended Victorian manor house, together with purpose-built accommodation. On the opposite side of the road the Early Years Centre and junior departments can be found. The nearby sixth form centre is self-contained. The playing fields occupy a site on the outskirts of the town. Origianlly founded as a Church of England school, it now welcomes pupils of all faiths and of none.
History
Founded in 1884 by Rose Kingsley, daughter of Charles Kingsley, author of The Water Babies. Moved to its present site in 1922.
