Deathstars is an industrial metal band formed in Sweden in January 2000, known as Swordmaster prior to a change in direction and name. The original lineup included Andreas Bergh (Whiplasher Bernadotte) on lead vocals, Erik Halvorsen (Beast X Electric) on guitar, Emil Nödtveidt (Nightmare Industries) on guitar and keyboards, and Ole Öhman (Bone W Machine) on drums. The current lineup consists primarily of members from Swordmaster and Ophthalamia , but also has former members of Dissection. The band currently consists of Whiplasher, Nightmare Industries, Skinny Disco (Bass guitar, backing vocals), Bone W Machine and Cat Casino (guitar).
