Chicago's Mystechs are basically keyboardist/songwriter Emil Hyde joined by a host of other musicians and collaborators. Their sound is hard to categorize, as it covers quite a bit of ground -- unexpectedly moving from indie rock to new wave-esque compositions. The Mystechs began strictly as an electronic band, but as time went on incorporated more traditional genres to their style. Formed in 1999, the Mystechs have issued three albums thus far for the independent Omega Point label -- 1999's Fantaseed, 2000's Dark Age Disco, and 2001's Unholy Land.
