Expansion Request

As with the TV One page, an expansion request was left without any additional information - neither here nor at Requests for expansion. I've removed it because I think the page is at a good length, but if someone wants to add it back please let us know how or where it can be expanded. --Dom 04:57, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Show Abuse

Do we really need a show abuse section?

---

Probably not. As it stands this reads like a semi-literate howl from some sad Veronica Marrs/Smallville fan. If the material were included as part of a section about TV2's programming policies in general it might have some value but as it stands it merely looks partisan and trivial. Disclaimer: I have no interest in Smallville or Veronica Marrs. None whatsoever. --203.173.157.78 23:07, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, that section was hilariously POV. It even had mentioned of a 'final insult to the show. I removed it. --IvanKnight69 11:37, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Like An Ad

It seems very non-POV and encyclopediac to me, it sounds like most of this article was copy and pasted from the TV2 website, or TVNZ's PR page. --IvanKnight69 15:28, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Complete Rewrite

I'm planning to completely rewrite [and hopefully improve ;)] most of the article by updating the content, sorting it out better to reduce the clutter (tables?), formalising the tone and making from a world point of view, removing any POV or weasel words, etc etc. --IvanKnight69 16:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think adding the prime time schedule makes it look more like an advert, but I've tried to get consensus on whether we should include such schedules before (see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television/Archive_5#Current_primetime_television_schedules), and there is no consensus on this issue. Accordingly, I will not remove the table (unless it gets ridiculously out of date). I think reworking the rest of the article is a good idea.-gadfium 19:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Table

There wasn't any comment in the edit summary so I don't know why the table was changed to a different one, but I do believe the original table was better, it was in the same format as tables for networks from other nations, making it standard with the other tables on Wikipedia, not to mention it a had a wider variety of colours. While the colours did clash with each other, that is the whole point, so the categories can be easily identified. I'd also like to have someway of showing which programming is 'new', and which are reruns/syndication. I also think the key guide should be shown at the top in normal lettering, and not beneath it as a small 'note' as it's a central part of the table and key to someone who isn't familiar with TV2 and it's programming understanding it. --IvanKnight69 10:46, 11 June 2007 (UTC) 10:45, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I revamped the table to look like the tables on the Australia television channel pages (ABC TV, Seven Network, Channel Nine, Network Ten). This was mainly to make it clean-looking, get rid of the bulky edge lines (which is very unprofessional), and to lighten the colours to prevent clashes with the text. This type of table has also been put on TV One and TV3. --Laydan Mortensen 03:54, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

International Programming

I renamed 'Local Programming' to 'Original Programming' and 'International Programming' to 'Imported Programming' to give the article an international and non-NZ-POV feel, and to bring it in line with articles from other networks in other nations. I also removed all shows from the imported programming section that aren't dramas currently airing in primetime and getting 'good' ratings.

Lifestyle Shows

I think that the genre of Lifestyle Show overlaps far to much with 'Factual Programmes/Documentrys' and 'Reality Shows', so removed that category, and moved 'My House My Castle' to 'Reality Shows' which I think is a better fit. --IvanKnight69 15:07, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
