In 2007, she was named by Time Magazine as one of the 15 of the “web generation’s movers and shakers."

She was acquisitions librarian in Pennsylvania before writing a monthy review column of recommended books.

A parody by lampoonist Brockeim, "Stairway to Amazon," describes Klausner and Lawrance Bernabo, another book reviewer, vying for the top spot at the popular online book retailer.
