Richard Madeley reference

I feel that the reference to Madeley being named in honour of Richard Madeley is a false claim that does not have any evidence for it. It has been added and removed a number of times, the removals carried out by a number of different editors (including myself). No evidence for this claim appears to exist on investigation, and the IP address (84.71.17.103) that has put the claim back into the article (on 19 July) had carried out a number of other acts of vandalism on the same day, around the same time to an assortment of articles (Special:Contributions/84.71.17.103). This being the case, I have removed once more the reference to Richard Madeley (as it may only serve to misinform readers), but I do not wish to become involved in an edit war and would be more than happy to see the paragraph put back, provided a reliable outside source is cited for it. As mentioned before, I have not been able to locate one myself, but I realise that this does not mean that no proof exists. Mouchoir le Souris 18:07, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it is a true claim, Judy Finnigan told me when she was having a wee dram. Gay David 14:59, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
