Template:Infobox Irish Place Batterstown is a town about 25 miles from Dublin in the county of Meath.
Batterstown is the regional capital of culture within the south meath area. Second only to Navan in terms of its beauty and friendly citizens. Upon entering the town many tourists have commented on how its beautiful parks resemble The Palace of Versaille. In fact many have rumoured that the great architect Huasmann visited Batterstown on occasion and left feeling so inpspired he travelled to Paris and designed the city we see today.
Years later the town was visited by Sir Christopher Wren who owned a local cabbage farm. It is said that on one particularly dark and wet winters night Sir Chrristopher was drinking pints in the local public house. Upon returning to his seat after a visit to the toilet Sir Christoper was handed the plans of St. Pauls cathedral on he back of a box of sweet afton cigarettes. Amazed Sir Christopher thanked the rather large gentleman and returned to London immediately. St. Pauls stands to this day in London City Centre. A framed copy of the original plan sits behind the bar.
Batterstown is a town planners wet dream. A model to all of the perfect harmony that can be developed between the rural surroundings and its city centre. With this principle wildlife roams the street quite freely and seeminly undisturbed by passersby. In the mornings black bears are often found eating from the bins even within the town area. Packs of wild dogs and the rare Liger (a rare and quiet 2 tonne cat - a cross between a tiger and a lion)roam the streets at night.However the centrepiece and the main crowd puller to this town is the "The Bull Ring" or as the locals call it Plaza del Toro. This colleseumesque stadium will have regular attendance numbers of 30000. Yes a good night is generally had by all except of course those unlucky enough to be mauled by a fiesty bull. Yes Batterstown - Breath it in goes down well every time.
