Fuller, Cuthbert, British Army General

Cuthbert Graham Fuller, DSO, CMG, was born in 1874 and educated at Beaumont College and the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Engineers in 1893, and served in South Africa, 1899 - 1902, being mentioned in dispatches. By 1914, he was a Major, and served in Gallipoli, Egypt, and France during the First World War, earning the brevets of Lieutenant Colonel and Colonel. He commanded 130 Brigade, 1923 - 1925 and Canal Brigade, Egypt, 1925 1928, and was Major-General in charge of administration, Eastern Command, 1929 - 1931. In addition to his British awards, he was a Commander of the Legion of Honor. He married (1912) Princess Sophia, daughter of Prince Vladimir Shahoffsky.Gtaii 22:50, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
