Mr. Biffo, real name Paul Rose, was the editor of the Teletext-based video games magazine Digitiser, which ran between 1993 and 2003. He continues to write a monthly column (entitled Biffovision) in Edge.

In more recent times, he has become a scriptwriter for television, working on children's shows such as Barking!, The Worst Witch, Sooty and My Parents Are Aliens, as well as UK soap operas such as Crossroads and EastEnders. He also devised the storyline for the multiple format game Future Tactics. [citation needed] He was nominated for a BAFTA award in 2004 for Best Children's Drama, [citation needed] and has won a Sony Radio Academy Award for his writing on the Christian O'Connell breakfast show on XFM. [citation needed]

Rose has written a book entitled Confessions of a Chatroom Freak and a television pilot (also entitled Biffovision, co-written with Tim Moore).

He is currently writing for both BBC1 and Channel 4, including sitcoms entitled Now The Weather and Too Much Too Young. [citation needed]

Rose is married with three children, and lives in North London. [citation needed]
