Gary Flax is a South African businessman and inventor, who is best known for his innovation and invention of the first “true” mini water cooler.

Gary Flax was born in South Africa having grandparents that originated from USSR (Lithuania), Poland and United Kingdom.

His father (Cecil Flax) was one of the first in South Africa to do mass production of jewelry and developing innovative technology, which is still being used to this day. Gary Flax is a self-made entrepreneur and a qualified dental technologist, specialised on maxilla facial reconstruction prophesies.

Flax is known for his innovation and invention of the first "true" mini water cooler that "really "works, and dispenses cold water (6-7'C) of a reasonable volume. His company " Little Luxury holds patents in Europe, USA, South Africa and China. The trademarks are registered in over 100 countries. His company has spent money on research and development, slowly entering the international markets with a vision and dedicated mission to grow into a leading company and brand worldwide, having started with limited finances (in 1988 ) and set up a manufacturing plant producing badges and corporate gifts. This company is still in operation and specializes in the mass production of pin badges.

One of his  companies holds the licensing for Jeep products, taking this brand to the top three in South Africa, in only two years and winning numerous trade show awards

Flax encourages environmentally friendly business, thus his companies manufacture products that will reduce harmful emissions or/and are recyclable and are energiny saving, furthermore his companies comply to the international factory standards of WTO and the human rights codes of working practices.

His company has gone on to develop and manufacture products for Nestle, Jeep, BMW and other large corporations. Gary Flax owns his own prototype, tooling and developing plant Prototypepro.

His companies have won International marketing awards such as the Gold New York Advertsing award and the converted Nestle Innovative Award. Flax has received commendation by some of the leaders of the largest retailer chains in South Africa.

Gary Flax also supports numerous charities that look after the upliftment, care and shelter of and women in particular children.
