Johnson Central High School is the public high school of Johnson County, Kentucky. Situated in Paintsville, it holds over 1,000 students in grades 9-12.

Johnson Central High School is well-known for its football, basketball, baseball, and academic teams. In addition it hosts several successful clubs including FBLA, DECA, HOSA, FCCLA, Beta, SkillsUSA, STLP, and FEA.

The school is home to a new Career Technology Center, consisting of business, vocational, and agriculture classrooms, and 21st Century Classrooms.

The school is home to a Freshman Academy, a large Honors Program, and several Advanced Placement courses. In addition, several duel-credit classes are offered.

Johnson Central High School met all of the No Child Left Behind standards in 2006.
