Steve Poltz is a singer-songwriter and guitar player in San Diego, California.

Steve was a founding member of a band called The Rugburns, and is usually called "Poltz". He now is a solo artist.

Steve Poltz co-wrote the hit-song "You Where Meant For Me" with Jewel Kilcher. He often played with Jewel before she became famous and played guitar on her 2000 Spirit World Tour.

His musical style is typically acoustic guitar, somewhat upbeat, with humor filled lyrics.
