No One to Watch Over Me is episode number nineteen in season three of Medium.

"No One to Watch Over Me (Medium)"

Plot

Allison keeps awaking from confusing dreams where she is out in the snow, which leads to the discovery of a young woman’s frozen body in a freezer. Meanwhile, Joe, who’s still coping with the repercussions of the shooting at work returns to the office for the first time since the tragedy.

Trivia

The episode begins with Patricia Arquette and Jake Weber explaining out of character that in light of recent events, there would be no "Previously On" teaser or flashbacks to Joe Day Afternoon, which may have caused an inconvenience to viewers who had not seen Joe Day Afternoon.

Patricia Arquette: We originally intended to show you clips from that episode, but in light of recent events, we thought that right now, the fewer guns and gunshots depicted, the better.

The episode then begins normally.

This is because of the Johnson Space Center shooting that happened 5 days prior to the shows airing. Both the Johnson Space Center shooting and the depiction of the hostage situation that would have been shown in the "previously" flashbacks are very similar.

There is an in-joke in this episode : when young Jennie turns on the television part of a Frasier show is heard. Kelsey Grammer who played Frasier is Executive Producer on Medium.
