Nathaniel Marvin Wolff born on the 17th of December 1994 in Los Angeles, California, born to actress and director Polly Carey Draper (best known for her role as Ellyn Warren on the 1987-91 show “Thirtysomething”) and jazz pianist Michael Wolff (who was the band leader and musical director for “The Arsenio Hall Show.”)

When Nat and Alex were very young they climbed out of the bath one day, Ms. Draper recalled, and both announced, “We’re the Naked Brothers Band!” as they danced around the apartment. In preschool Nat formed a band with his best friends.

“Nat decided he wanted to film his own sitcom, so we did a film called “Don’t Eat Off My Plate,” ” Ms. Draper said. “I pretended to interview his friends and do a documentry.” And that was the beginning of the Naked Brothers movie, roughly a five-week adventure in 2004 using mostly friends and family members, with a budget under $1 million. (“We would sneak into locations and run,” Ms. Draper said.) The movie won an audience award for family feature film at the Hamptons International Film Festival in 2005. It then came to the attention of Nickelodeon, which acquired it for broadcast with minor changes and developed the series.

The movie is part documentry, part mockumentry, and a lot of fun in between, it tracks down a kids’ rock band that struggles through censorship, superstardom, and girls. It premiered on Nickelodeon, January 27, 2007. It’s got a lot of irreverence and a lot of reality,” Ms. Draper said of the family’s creative venture.

Nat is the lead singer-songwriter/keyboardist of “The Naked Brothers Band”, Alex Wolff is the drummer, Thomas Batuello is the cellist, Joshua Kayge is the guitarist, David Levi is the keyboardist, Cooper Pillot is the band’s manager, Jesse Draper (Polly Draper’s niece) is the band’s tutor and baby sitter, Mr. Wolff is Nat and Alex’s Dad the geeky, accordion-playing TV father (to his real life sons), and Rosalina (Allie DiMeco) as Nat’s crush.

It all started when Nat wrote the song Firefighters, Nat raised a benefit at a fire station for all the kids who lost there fathers that fought in 9/11. The benefit raised $45,000 and donated it all. When actress Allie DiMeco (Rosalina) appeared on the making of the “Naked Brothers Band Movie,” Nat developed a little crush on her, so the producers of “naked brothers” decided to add that part to the movie to make it an even more of a “Beatle-ish” mockumentry spoof exaggerating the crush of Rosalina (Allie) a bit more than it really is.

The Naked Brothers Band is also a TV series on Nickelodeon that started on February 3, 2007. They’re some new people in the series, Qaasim Asani Malik Seawright-Middleton is the guitarist replaced by Josh, Rosalina (Alexandra Jean DiMeco) as the bass player and Nat’s crush, Betty (Catherine Curtin) is (Mr.) Sonny Wolff’s girl friend and they’re in the band “The Honeybunnies,” Matt Pinfield is the news reporter, who’s always dicing the Naked Brothers Band, and Patty (Emily Richardson) Cooper’s girl friend.
