Nybrogatan is a street in central Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Located in the borough of Östermalm the street stretches from Nybroplan in a northern direction towards Valhallavägen.

History

Before 1864 the northern part of Nybrogatan above Östermalmstorg was called "Seved Bååtsgatan" after a local official. The southern part was named after the new bridge that was constructed over Nybroviken, and was named Nybrogatan which translates into "new bridge street" in english. Later on the street in its entirety adopted this name.
