Júlio César da Silva e Souza (born February 26, 1980 in Itaguai) is a Brazilian football player, currently performing for Greek side, AEK Athens FC, having joined them from Gil Vicente FC, in 2005. Julio cesar scored againts Hearts in the champions league qualifires in both legs. He was the scorer in the 1-1 draw against RSC Anderlecht for the second game of the group phase in the 2006-07 Champions League Campaign. Júlio César scored again in the famous 1-0 win against AC Milan in front of 60.000 spectators in Olympic Stadium (Athens) with a direct free kick. He has also previously played for Lokomotiv Moscow, scoring against Club Brugge in a 2-0 win in November 2002.
