"The Beginning of the End" is the first episode of the fourth season of the TV series LOST. It has been confirmed that it is a multi-centered episode. It will air at 8:00 p.m. EST Monday, February 4, 2008. The Beginning of the End kicks off right after the events at the end of the third season with rescue looming for the survivors.

Plot

Ken Leung has been photographed on set (in parachute gear) pointing a gun at Matthew Fox so it would seem that the people on the freighter have arrived on the island.

Trivia

The name of the first episode will be The Beginning of The End. This refers back to Ben's remark in Through the Looking Glass: ("This'll be your last chance, Jack. I'm telling you, making that call is the beginning of the end.") Set stills show Locke reunited with Sawyer, Sayid, Desmond, Juliet, Bernard and Hurley on a mission to the cockpit. Sawyer carries an automatic rifle. Another pic shows Ben, bloodied and tied up. A third pic shows Jack and Kate. Jack is holding a walkie talkie, while Kate touches his face tenderly.
