For such an important topic, it is very badly written, isn't it? --Onias 17:23, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I think the article desparately requires information pertaining to the subjective experience of this fear, not just the scientific information. Then again, I don't know how one might put in this information and keep the article NPOV. GenericGabriel 02:01, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge to necrophobia?

[edit]

This article is not very informative, and just showed up this year. I've also got a hunch that much of this is original research. I think we should take what little good stuff is in here and move it to Necrophobia. --Explodicle 21:56, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The difference is that a phobia is necessarily irrational; it's part of the definition. Fear of death is perfectly logical and therefore they are different phenomena.144.89.184.190 04:22, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then maybe we should merge it with Self preservation? --Explodicle 12:08, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Merge to Necrophobia

[edit]

I don't think it makes sense to merge this with the other article. Necrophobia is fear of dead things, while it seems what this article is getting at is the fear of death itself, and the sensation of being dead. Certainly related, but two seperate ideas.
