The BBC has expressed an interest in splitting the United Kingdom into England,Northern Ireland,Scotland,Wales for the Eurovision Song Contest. The idea was brought about to mimic that of other countries who have split in the past. The countries would then all have neighbours this will hopefully setle the issue of the United Kingdom having no neighbours. The countries entries would be able to do tours around the other countries promoting the song and if already succesful in the United Kingdom will encourage people to vote.

Possible Contestants

The BBC had said that they would lke to continue the 'Making Your Mind Up' format with selecting the songs for the countries and might possibly consider splitting into four shows such as 'Make Your Mind Up Ireland'. This would bring it into line with other countries, who for national selection have many shows. There is nobody rumoured to go for representing Northern Ireland in Eurovision 2008.
