Hopper vs Hector

There seems to be a certain amount of web-rumour around that there will be a new character by the name of 'Hector'. This may, or may not, be the case, but it is purely speculation unless supported by Reliable Sources.

Also, please do not modify the quote taken from the World Screen interview with Alison Homewood. This is a direct quote from the web page and, even if it is 'wrong', should not be modified.

Edits not complying with these requests will be deleted from the article without further question.

I noticed a character called Hopper the Horrid on the Homewood page.

Lost References

Seeing as how these Season pages have so few references available, it seems a shame that the previously found web-references have been deleted. I would say that it is worth including almost anything official that allows a non-fan to determine whether the page contains fan-fiction or not. I'm sure it would be possible to include a 'Pre-season' section to incorporate this kind of information.

Remember, articles on WP must be supported by references from Reliable Sources, so the better the references, the more likely the page will avoid deletion!

Currently, no matter what your beliefs are on who will return this season, only characters mentioned by name in official summaries can be placed in the "Featured Characters" section. Here are some of the current issues:

  • Madge is a real character, but she hasn't been mentioned at all in these recaps. Therefore, her existence can't be cited. And even if she is proven to exist, there's no proof it'll be in this season. The only negativity of so much detail on the show's future is that not all of it fits into the grand scheme perfectly, and Wikipedia isn't the place to assume where Madge will be placed.
  • I've lost count of how many times Terence has been put on the Featured Characters list. Duck, Donald and Douglas have gone there too, among others. This is almost as bad as making up titles, which has also happened to the article. Please, only put down characters if their name first appears in a summary at WTTW (and that's a summary for this season. The web site has several mixed episodes. For a list of the Season 11 ones if you are unsure, leave a comment here.)
  • With the Narrow Gauge engines, we have word of at least some of them returning. However, Sir Handel is the only one mentioned by name, so he's currently the only one we can put. I believe that Skarloey, Duncan, Rusty and the others are bound to at least make a cameo, but the names have no sources, and can't be simply assumed.

Perhaps what would make it easier is a list of links at the bottom of the page - consisting of web sites that have the summaries. The one with the most (WTTW) is cited as the only source confirming characters like Rocky, Henrietta and Sir Handel. But if you find more that provide back info, please add them to the page.

I saw a spam episode called Toby on the Roof in the guide. It was deleted the next day. Thank goodness for WP:THOMAS. S.C.Ruffeyfan —Preceding comment was added at 12:39, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, they can't appear, S11 has already aired, they can't appear in the NG episodes, so let's hope there's no more vandalism to the page:)S.C.Ruffeyfan 12:26, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode list

Something's wrong with the list. I tried fixing it but it was no use. Can someone find out what the problem is ? TobytheTramEngine 19:55, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to the article, this season doesn't have more than 20 episodes. Is it really so? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.190.114.189 (talk) 13:42, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that way, as no new episodes aired this morning in the UK. If no new ones air tomorrow morning or afternoon then this means that the series has finished its original airing.

PS Can we please STOP adding "Madge" to any lists - she hasn't appeared officially in the series yet so doesn't really officially count as a character. We don't even know if we will see her as part of this series. --Skarloey 21:00, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Madge IS a real character, but is appearing in the exclusive narrow-gauge DVD known as Engines and Escapades. I have proof here:She is real. It isn't in a model series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=057CBz44Izw S.C.Ruffeyfan 11:52, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
