Abilene (song)

Abilene, a song by George Hamilton IV, was written in 1976 and expressed anti-war seniment. Not largely played on the mainstream radio, it soon gained a large following among the hippie movement. While never topping the mainstream charts, it would inspire such great artists as Tom Petty, Izaak Dail, and the late Jimi Hendrix.
