David William Eiland (born July 5, 1966, in Dade City, Florida) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He is currently is the pitching coach for the Triple-A affiliate, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. He is in strong consideration to be the next pitching coach of the New York Yankees.

Eiland is the only player in Major League Baseball history to give up a home run to the first batter he ever faced and hit a home run in his very first at-bat.

Eiland was named International League Pitcher of the Year in 1990 while playing for the Columbus Clippers with a 16-5 record and a 2.87 ERA. He played college baseball at University of Florida and the University of South Florida.
