Plaigarism
This article is copied pretty much verbatim from the Durham web article. Although it can be used as a reference (as I have used its Crawcrook page in the Crawcrook article), it cannot be used copied as blatantly as this. I would re-do the article but I don't feel I have the knowledge of Greenside (not like I do of Ryton and Crawcrook) and I don't feel I can do the village justice. Still, if the quality doesn't improve, I may make a start in the near future and give it a try. hedpeguyuk 26 February 2007 9:17 (UTC)
I have given it a quick going over, an improvement over the last edition but not great. I may be back in the near future. hedpeguyuk 26 February 2007 10:05 (UTC)
Alcohol and Drugs
As I live in Greenside, and have a relatively intimate knowledge of the village, I am surprised that there has been no mention of the serious problems caused by the use of alcohol and drugs here. Recently a governor of the infant/junior school resigned, as she couldn't even appear to be sober during the day, let alone during the governor's meetings, which happen in the evenings. Hard and soft drugs are easily available, one source is one of the butcher's shops in the village. Another is the drunkard school governor's husband.GlenW 23:30, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
