Here I Am[3][4][5] is the fourth album[6] from rapper/singer Eve. It was scheduled to be released on October 16, 2007[7], but has now been delayed until January 29, 2008[8] The Album received 3 mics in The Source Magazine. [9][10]
The album is said to involve production by Dr. Dre[11], Timbaland[12][13], Pharrell Williams[14], Swizz Beatz[15] and Scott Storch.[16]
The buzz single was "Cash Flow" featuring T.I.[17], which can be heard on her my space page[18][19], while the first single is "Tambourine"[20].
The second single is a reggae influenced track featuring Sean Paul named "Give It To You". This was confirmed on Eve's label website Geffen in the artist section.[21]
Eve has stated that one of her favorite songs on the album, "All Night Long"[22], may be the third single. This is an 80s-pop influenced track that Eve sings and doesn't rap.[23] The track "Fire" features a sampled loop of the popular The White Stripes song Seven Nation Army and features guest a guest spot by Krayzie Bone[24][25]
The album has been pushed back multiple times.[26][27][28][29][30] During BET's Access Granted for Eve's video Tambourine, Eve claimed the CD would be released on August 7. A month later, it was scheduled for release on September 11. Later it was pushed back to October 16. Then it was pushed to January 24, 2008. Now it is scheduled tobe released on January 29, 2008.[3]

The album has heavily been modified to fit into a more commercially sucessful sound, instead of an album Eve felt comfortable releasing.[31] It was reported Eve was upset to the fact more than 20 collaborations were left off the album.[32] Gwen Stefani's collaboration, Ladies Call, was to initially be released as the album's third single[33], but was cancelled to due low budget[34] and high video costs.[35] Because of the huge financial loss from the poor response to Give It To You, Eve was forced into the studio[36] to record a solo version of the song.[37][38] Eve felt very uncomfortable[39] going solo on a song she didn't even write.[40] "It was like I was writing on paper in blood and then mailing it to Sean Paul."[41], Eve told Extra in late November[42]. In early December[43], Perez Hilton leaked two tracks from the album[44], Eve's Thoughts (Intro)[45], and the already leaked (on file-sharing programs), Here I Am[46].
