In the Jailhouse Now is a song performed by many artists and which has at least three versions. It was written by Jimmie Rodgers. Artists who recorded the song include Suzy Bogguss, Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, Tim Blake Nelson with The Soggy Bottom Boys, Webb Pierce, and Doc Watson.

The Soggy Bottom Boys tell the story of "Ramblin' Bob", while Johnny Cash and Suzy Bogguss refer to "Bill Campbell". Cash's and Bogguss' versions include other differences.

There is another version, different tune to the Jimmie Rodgers song, credited to somebody called Murphy. It was recorded by the Memphis Jug Band in the 1920s. The people in the song are Jim Johnson, Sam Jones, Henry Crews and "Sonny".[citation needed]
