Noel Gallagher, 1994: "You want to write about shagging and taking drugs and being in a band. You don't wanna write about going down the supermarket."

On the DVD of the special edition of the album Noel states (perhaps forgetting his earlier comment) that he got the idea for the song while waiting ages in the que when going down the supermarket.
